Polio memorabilia on Antiques Roadshow

On “Antiques Roadshow,” Mary Garrett brought in a collection of celebrity photographs and autographs she had collected as a child. Mary, now in her 60s, served as the March of Dimes poster-child in 1955, when she suffered from polio She traveled the country to raise awareness for the cause. Mary’s collection included pictures with Grace Kelly and President Eisenhower, and even an Elvis Presley autograph. Conference features Stuart A. Hirsch, M.D. speaking on polio and post-polio medical issues, followed by questions from the audience.
