Please describe how polio has changed your life.
I recovered from polio with no ill affects. I was a superior athlete before PPS reared its ugly head in 1995. I was diagnosed by UC Davis in 2000 and continued to deteriorate. I became wheelchair bound for 5 years. My close friend is a doctor who treats HIV. He started to experiment with marijuana to help with the HIV symptoms. He was having success and saw my suffering. He convinced me to try a marijuana brownie. From that day to today my PPS started to improve and is now in remission. I no longer pray for death. I have regained 50% of my muscle strength and the nerves are healing. I have regained 75% of my energy. I am out of a wheel chair and doing all my daily living plus enjoying life. I can do light exercise and take a walk. I take a CBD rich marijuana, which means I don't get high, 4 times a day. I take a THC rich marijuana at night, which allows me to sleep without pain and muscle twitch. For me this has been a miracle and I have wanted to share my experience. I had never experimented with marijuana during my lifetime until now. I was taking over 15 pharmaceutical drugs to help my symptoms. I do not take anything now except marijuana. I live in CA so I am blessed that medicinal marijuana is legal in our state. I also have clean, regulated dispensaries to get my medicine.

Hi, Ricki, thank you for all that information, I will definitely research this and am interested in knowing more and getting to the point of trying this.  I have tried so many other things with little success. It's nice to hear that you have had lots of success with this.......thanks again!

Hi Ricki, I am curious how you take this, is it in a pill form and whom do you go to to get this CBD form, does one need a prescription?   Does it re grow our already damaged nerves.  So many questions.  Thanking you in advance!

Was it a post on your wall?  I think I found a reply to my question. Thanks

Ricki - Welcome- I am so interested in what you had said about being in re-mission; Have they-o are will they do any research on this.  Because all I hear is there is no cure for PPS.  This totally blows me away.. Unfortunately my State of NY does not allow Medicinal Marijuana legal.  I take pain meds, muscle relaxers, etc. It is the only way I can function everyday.

I've come to the same conclusions through my research and experience. Indica is the right strain, and a little book called "Best Pot Cook Book Ever" has proven to be quite helpful and accurate.  Writing about it in my newsletter has taken some courage, however, since I don't have the advantage of a long trial time.

Thanks for being outspoken.

Welcome to Polio Today - That is interesting.  Has there been any study and research into that?
