Please describe how polio has changed your life.
When I was 6 years old I had the oral polio vaccine and shortly after that I had paralytic polio from my neck down and held a high fever and was very sick for 2 weeks. I was that type A personality, workaholic and always remodeling or had some kind of a project going on. I worked my job until I could no longer sit, stand or raise my arms to my keyboard. I am currently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Functional Neurological Symptom disorder (apparently this is all in my head). I am now waiting to see another doctor in a post polio clinic whom I hope can help me. I am still processing not being able to work anymore. The fatigue, inability to concentrate and multitask or hold my arms and legs up with out pain or increased muscle twitching. I have good days and some really depressing days but I can't give up on myself because I know the diagnosis is incorrect and they are basing it on all my tests coming back normal including the EMG.
