Mauricio -- Gladys Swensrud suggested I e-mail you with my request. I see Janet beat me to it! But, here's a copy of my original post.

When I click on View All Members, it has the option of sorting by Most Recent, Alphabetical, or Random. Out of curiosity, would it be possible to add an option of sorting by state or country? It seems a majority of the members live in California. For everyone else, it might be helpful to know who is out there in our communities. For smaller communities that don't have support groups, this might be a way for people to start one. Just a thought. ~~Michael

Dear Mauricio- We were wondering if it would be possible to be able to sort all the members by State/Country? There are so many and being all over the world- it would be nice to maybe look into a support group that is close or survivors that are close and would like to start a group or meet..

What a great job you have done and everyone that has begun this group- it is growing so... Love to be able to come and learn more.. I am on a couple of other e-mail groups and do not know what I would have done without the help..
Hugs Janet

Mauricio,

I just did a photo shoot for The Tallahassee Magazine last Week. The Polio article will run in the Tallahassee March Edition and following months in The Emerald Coast and Panama City editions. I will keep you posted.

Thanks Maurico,
I will get the link added as this is such a valuable site.

And I didn't know the other question was just waiting to be answered. I will be patient. I am sure you all are very busy!

Thanks for all you are doing,
Shari

Maurico,
I have two things I am hoping you can help me with.

First I would like to link this site to our IPPSO website at http:www//ippso-world.org We have a webmaster to do this but I need your permission and possibly help? In the past we just wrote a piece about the organization and put the link there. But I want to make sure this is related to people being able to view the breathing conference as well as finding Polio Today.

My next problem is probably small to you, but I cannot get our logo back on our group right. I do not have a good photo program and was trying to get the beige background around our logo replaced with a better one. All I ended up doing was loosing what I had in the first place! PPS brain.......grr

I love the way our logo look in the pictures you have that go around in the photo box. Could you possibly send me what I need to put it in there or if you can do it for me.

Appreicate any and all the help you can offer.

Thanks,
Shari Fiksdal, Co-Founder IPPSO

Hello Maurico,

Thank you for the invitation, it's lovely to have friends.
I may have a problem with the site again, my grandson in law who's an IT person has got my computer back on line again (complete with 430 unread emails, your request among them), with the original stella@dlmremovals.com.au email. Help please...what do I do now so that I am still here at Polio Today?

Other than my initial visit to The Roosevelt Institute with Dr. Anne Gawne and The Englewood Hospital with Dr. Richard Bruno this site is the most significant development for polio survivors I have seen.

I know that I spent half my life not even knowing I had Polio. I knew one foot was three sizes smaller than the other. When PPS started hitting me I was diagnosed with ALS. I am a different statistic than most survivors. I do know that there are thousands of polio survivors not connected to a group probably wondering what is going on with their bodies. While they might not talk about it because of their first experience, if they saw the PolioToday.org logo they would go back home or to work and look online to see what it is all about. For most of my friends who knew they had polio and suffered mentally and physically that memory is firmly implanted in their minds.I think we need to promote PolioToday.org. If you agree go to forum and post your comment under PostPolio.org

I went to my chiropractor and discovered I have grown over an inch in a year. The doctor told me I must be rehydrating the discs in my spine. As we age the spinal discs lose hydration more rapidly. Another great benefit from the alkaline water: I had GERD and was on Prilosec every day. I got off the medication after about 2 to 3 weeks of the alkaline water. I drink over a gallon of water per day. Sometimes I make it to two gallons. My body seems to crave it. If anyone wants information about the alkaline water you may email me at doloressieg(at)gmail.com
