Please describe how polio has changed your life.
Challenge. I had polio as a baby so I for much of my life did not know what being "normal" meant. PPS has truly changed everything now and it is a ongoing learning process to fit all the parts of life together and still enjoy living. I am thankful for having had polio because it has made me the person I am today. Wouldn't have it any other way!

Thanks for thinking of me.  This year has been a bit tough. Almost lost my only existing foot.  60 years of Polio (I was 5 weeks) has played hard on me recently.

Your comment made me laugh Leslie, thanks for that. I have four wheels now too, would love to be able to ride a motor cycle again though. Won't take up the challenge of a race, both my power chaqir and scooter are the small cheaper variety, I would have a chance against a snail perhaps.

Hi Leslie...I was very happy to have met you at the Salk Breathing & Sleeping Symposium a couple weeks ago. You and I were just starting to chat when we had to go into the auditorium. I know we will be at an event in the future and we will chat more then.
At our San Diego PPS meeting this morning, I was given a copy of your Continuing Education leaflet you made for nurses. Kudos to you, I just started looking at it but want to read it more in depth. Thank you for all you do for Polio survivors and getting the word out.
Your friend,
Paula
