Please describe how polio has changed your life.
I am a second generation polio survivor. It has limited my physical ability, but has also allowed me to stop and smell the roses. Fortunately, I learned from my mother, who also had polio, that there are so many other ways of doing tasks. I love gardening, traveling and genealogy.

You've hit the nail on the head with the organization needed, not only for gardening but for both residual and PPS life. Indeed we do need to be orginized with just about everything.
The only way I can get down to a garden is by falling, and since I can't get up again, it's not really feasable lol. I use the same end to the hose too, and have a very short hose because of the weight factor.
I couldn't find a gardening book written by someone who actually uses a chair, which is why I decided to write my own after a great deal of thought about how to garden from a chair. The books I did find are all written by gardeners observations of the challenges of gardening from a seated position. People with arthritis are in a similar position when it comes to gardening.
Hello Judith, welcome. I use a power chair too, and am writing a book on gardening from a chair. I think having learnt from your mother, you will be able to help those of us who find it hard to adapt to PPS.
