Yes, it is an effort just to do an errand and I hear you about the recovery time. I always tell my husband I wish I just had one friend who had this because no one understands except us PPS'ers. (I don't really wish this on anyone but you know what I mean) We just have to keep doing the best we can, at least we get to live in beautiful Southern California. Take care and see you on the forum!
I just checked the forum, there has been activity. I fixed my setting and I have lots to read.
Hi Frank, nice to hear from you. Its kinda sad there's not much activity on here, I used to get notifications from here if someone posted in the forum but have not heard anything for so long. I need to check my settings. Well, today I am worse off then I was in 2011, more weakness and the daily pain is what bothers me the most. I have tried so may things to help with that and some things help but for only a short period so I am not going to give up on trying to find something. I refuse to take drugs so i do natural supplements and herbs. I went to a meeting with Dr. Susan Pearlman at the Villa Park Chamber. she does this every year. According to her, nothing new again this year but they are working on some things. What is your situation with pain?
Welcome to Polio Today - Sometimes I think it might have been better if I had not known anything different. I got polio just before my 6th birthay after learning how to ride my friend's bike. I was promised a bike of my own for my birthday. I was in the hospital on my birthday and asked about my bike. My Dad told me I wass not getting the bike; I was going to be getting braces. Of cours my 6 year old brain understood they were going to be my birthday present instead of the bike I had been promised. I was not pleased is a minor statment. It took me a while to understand I would not be able to ride the bike and the braces were not a birthday present.
I too do not like to make visits. I had not thought of that possible connection before as a possible reason.
