"I had some issues with choking and gagging about 20 years back, but they were apparently due to an infection in the throat, and things cleared up on there own after a few weeks.  (I have noticed my gag reflex in the dental chair is maybe a bit…"

trigeminal neuralgia

Has anyone here been diagnosed with "trigeminal neuralgia"?  Over the past year or so I've been having more and more frequent/severe episodes of pain in my jaws, often accompanied by headaches and a numb spot on my lip.  This seems to be fairly typical of trigeminal neuralgia, but what I read on the web is kind of vague. And I vaguely recall that the condition is more common in PPSers.See More

"If statins are a problem for you (but you would still like to continue taking them) you can try taking a fairly high dose of CoQ-10 ("food supplement").  This actually worked briefly for me, though it seemed to lose effectiveness and…"

Magnesium

One recent discovery I've made is that I've apparently been deficient in the mineral magnesium for some time (possibly most of my life). It's kind of complicated how I came to suspect this, but a couple of weeks ago I read some stuff that suggested it would be a possibility, so I went out and got a supplement & tried it.  Within a couple of hours I felt more alert, and it seemed to help my urinary problems (the main reason I was looking) quite a bit.  Then I discovered that I was walking…See More
