Please describe how polio has changed your life.
The only thing polio changed are the physical attributes. God made me this way so I'm blessed to have gotten polio and now I can try to educate everyone what having Polio or PPS is all about. Everyday is a challenge.
Glad I attended the breathing symposium today! Very informative information for me. I don't use any breathing machine right now but I'm so glad to have the information for the future!

Hi Amy!

At this late date, I thought it might be helpful if we plan for a future ice cream social, perhaps for our July meeting, so our members without email can sign up to bring items as well.  As you know, about a third of our crowd isn't on email so they can be difficult to reach between gatherings.  Perhaps you younger members would like to organize a phone tree as a way of keeping some of our older members connected.  You younger folks are vital to the success of our group; you are the ones who will carry us forward, so we'd love to involve you in all facets of organizing.  You might like to be the ones to plan and carry through the ice cream social idea.  Give it some thought, and we'll discuss it on Saturday the 14th.

Barring ice cream, you can depend upon us having cookies and coffee!

Hi Amy,

Great to hear from you.  Hoping you can catch me up on your moving challenges at our May 14th meeting.  I've procrastinated about posting a meeting notice because  we have a guest speaker lined up who may need to move her visit to September.  Because of that, I was thinking an ice cream/dessert social might be a fun alternative.  Ice cream is always a winner!!!

See you on May 14th!

Thanks for the welcome, Amy. I have known about PPS for some time but at least so far I don't think I am showing any symptoms. I am trying to learn as much as I can from y'all who have been down this road. I will turn 35 this month.

sorry it has taken me so long to answer back. I am and old guy and not very techno oriented. Probably should get my grand kids to help. The first time I was told that I had had polio I was getting my retirement physical from the US Navy. That was in 1989. Since it has been a journey of chance encounters that God put in my path that has led me to here. I have only known two polio survivors. I did not realize just how many there were in the world. I look forward to being bale to share with you from time to time and I also ask God to bless you and your family. Welton
