We don't meet in person except in Asheville at CarePartners now. There are a wide range of polio survivors there.

This is certainly true. There's also a guy I met in the '80's who was doing initial research on post polio symptoms named Sandy Golden. I wonder where he is now. Glad to have a new home for Dr. Bruno.

Dr Bruno is now a member of Polio Today. You can find him under members. We all owe him so much for what he has done for us all.

Two new people on our site! And both very active, positive people. Thanks for coming to our little nook. Thanks for the discussion topic, Dan.

Hi Gail,

We sure do miss visiting in Asheville and so enjoyed attending your PPS group meeting. We went from Asheville to Illinois for family weddings and then to Denver for a month to visit my daughter and family and then back to Illinois for my Mom's 90th b'day party. Now we are back home in South Florida for the winter. We sure hope to get back to Asheville aas often as we can. Say "hi" and give all in your PPS group our special wishes for a wonderful Holiday season.

There's a lot of PPS people in Asheville and Hendersonville, NC. We suspect that there would be more but that some people were never diagnosed correctly when they were young and had a mild case of polio. I feel it is important to keep telling parents to get their kids immunized for polio. It could recur!
